The Datsun Go is the first car to be released by the Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Company under the Datsun brand, since it was discontinued in 1986. Named after the "Dat-Go", Datsun's first car launched in the early 20th century,[2]the Go will initially be available in developing markets such as India, South Africa,Indonesia and Russia. It is based on the same Nissan V platform as the Nissan Micra/March.[3]
The car's release is expected to start in 2014, with a price range of 400,000 rupees (US$ 10,055.16/AUS$ 10,970) in India[4] and below IDR100 million to accommodate Indonesia LCGC rule both for Go and Go+
